After staying away for months, I've gotten back together with Distributed Proofreaders this week. Best line I've come across while proofing these last few days:

"You know how hard it is for a crazy man get better from his crazy."

Indeed.

I took yesterday off from the Internet. My spam filter was hard at work, though. Nothing says Christmas like "Npude Tcanned Blond TRAJNNY Jnerks Smtif". I get the nude, tanned, blond tranny part--clothed, pale, brunette trannies are so last season--but what's a "smtif" and why would jerking it be something I'd want to see?

"change your size from S to XL" I'd rather go the other way, thanks. I'm already an XL (sometimes L, sometimes XXL) in most clothes. Oh, they meant my penis again, didn't they.

Did I mention I'm updating pretty much daily over at my regular journal? Not that I've updated today but I have plans.

Today's mystery: Why is the only scheduled pickup from the mail drop in the post office 5 p.m.? It's right there in the post office-couldn't they scoop up the mail more often than that? Or at least earlier?

I thought I'd gotten over this cold but evidently not, or maybe this is a new one; in any case I surely did not need to be getting all stuffed up again. I've got too much to do this week to be sick.

How is it possible for a towel to be both fluffy and non-absorbent? My theory: it's the fabric softener.
