Ok. Me, and, despite raging cases of the flu, my girl and my brother, got the RecNo Mardi Gras float finished. On game day, many wonderful people showed up to don fake armor and plastic weapons and march down Church Street. It was loads of fun. To anybody out there, what is a "folk hero"? When you think of a folk hero, what do you imagine? To me, it seems like a term for people that don't really deserve to be full-on heros, or people that you don't really like, but admire nonetheless. Anybody have any thoughts?

I shopped today. I needed something to grind about 5 pounds of nuts for Christmas cookies. I spent an undetermined amount of time in Bed, Bath, & Beyond staring at a 20-foot wall of kitchen utensils. There isn't much snow around here yet, but The Rack is gearing up for ski season. They're finally teaching me how to tune skis, but I'm just totally clueless. I haven't skiied for years and years, and even then, it was just me screwing around on my ancient Rossis and falling down a lot.
