I went to a Teeny Tiny renaissance faire being held at the Champlain Valley Exposition grounds today. It was about 2 rows of big tents with merchants, 2 stages mostly with the same 3 shows swapping back and forth with some random "plot" events thrown in set up in a grassy field. As many of you know, I've been expanding my sewing skills to include *gasp* Pattens!

This has led me down the path to making my own corset. A good corset (meaning one that supports you, is comfortable to dance in, allows you to breathe while presenting you in a mildly idealize light) can easily run $300-$500. I figured I was up for the challenge. I ( Read more... )
