Just wanted to say that. And everything was perfect! For all of you who were here - it meant the world to me that you could all be a part of this! And now - packing to go to Australia tomorrow!!!

And I got to watch them being born!! Coolest thing -EVER- to do on a Thursday night. A friend of mine lives on a farm and she and her husband have sheep... it's spring, so they've been delivering lambs for the last week or so, and they invited us up to see the new babies last night. Yeah, yeah... time for the monthly (ish) posting... Happy Holidays to all! I am home (all the way home, in St. Croix) for Christmas and New Years with the family. Rob joins me on Tuesday, "Christmas Second Day" (Hurah!!). And life is good. Aaaaaah!

So almost every Tuesday for the last year and some it's been my turn to be on the ambulance crew for the night. Soooo proud of the little beastie! She, my life-long indoor cat, caught a mouse last night. All on her own. We didn't even know we had mice until there she was in the kitchen with a mouse. Which she promptly took into the bathtub, because that's what she does ( Read more... )

It somehow has not yet ceased to amaze me how effective caffeine is as a method of increasing alertness and improving moods. I woke up this morning when it started DOWNPOURING. And I mean torrential, tropical downpouring. Being the only one home, I lept out of bed and ran around the house closing shutters and clearing drainpipes, and got soaked in the process. You know when you have those days that for some reason remind you of something or somewhere completely different?
