Okay, so I went in today for my surgical consultation. Nothing earth shattering to report -- it should be a simple procedure. It's laproscopic surgery, which basically means that they make four tiny incisions in my abdomen and use a tiny camera and tools to reach in and do the work, instead of cutting a huge hole in my belly ( Read more... )

So I think most of you have heard this already, but I ended up in the ER for the second time in a couple of weeks on Wednesday night. I'd been having intense abdominal and back pain, and enough nausea to have me throwing up. At this point in time, it's looking pretty definitively like Eddie and I will NOT be able to make it to Anthrocon this year. Money's kind of tight, and neither one of us was particularly enthusiastic about the move to Pittsburgh, either.
