Google's New Browser
I've been using Chrome since Tuesday, as soon as I had the opportunity to download it and soon made it my default browser. It picked up my bookmarks from Firefox 3 without a problem.
There was a lot of traffic in blog-space about the invidious EUC, which appeared to claim rights over everything that was pasted via Chrome (see this entry for ( Read more... ) -
Stampede Checkup
Another follow-up appointment today and everything is looking good. I won't have the test results until Monday or Tuesday but we were able to clear up a few issues I had.
The first concerned exposure to sunlight-I'd been warned on finishing chemo that I would need to take extra care in sunlight from now on. I wasn't clear if that meant that my skin ( Read more... ) -
A Rant about sticky lablels
Why, Oh why do food manufacturers not use water soluble glues on the packaging! I'm making chutnies with the surpluses from the allotment and I've expended a lot of hot water and elbow grease trying to get rid of the labels from the various jars I've been saving but a good half of them leave a nasty sticky residue behind making the jars unusable as ( Read more... ) -

Day 3
I'd made the decision last night that I would move on to Grandsire from the second. Pauline was running the first tower (Everton) and she made sure I got the chance. It was a bit shaky at first as the treble and tenor were quite close toegther and then a big gap to the second, which made me think I was on the treble still.

Day 1
The day dawned grey and cool with a fret lying over the fenny countryside. This was a pleasant relief from an unbearably hot night spent lying on top of the bed gasping for air. I did sleep but woke at 6 which is when I composed my previous post. I then managed to connect to the local wi-fi network and posted it.

Actually, thinking about it only five months of 2008 have elapsed, and only four (tomorrow) since I passed 60 but I've got nearly an hour before I need to set off for church so I decided to do a round up of the past few months.

"Your bloods are beautiful"
That's what the research nurse said when looking at the early results of my blood tests at my follow-up last Thursday. My PSA results were available on Monday and were only 0.1 which is half of what it was3 months ago and 1/6th of what it was a year ago. As a result I am officially fit. Still no hope of coming off the hormones though.
