My friend works in Fine Jewelry for Skinner Auctions here in Boston and they had their preview on Sunday, and my roommate convinced me to go. I was so glad I did! They let you try on anything you want and then the auction is today - I almost bid on a couple of things (obviously not that one though :) ).

Naw, it's something John had at work and Justin took me to the preview with him. I got to try on all kinds of excellent stuff! Auction is today - I'll let you know how much it ends up going for.

that's amazing...i'm sure it is more mind blowing in person...how did you get to try it on? can i try it on? oh wait, i may not want to give it back then...

Giving it back wasn't as hard as I would have thought - just having that much money on my hand made me nervous! It was hard to give back the canary yellow diamond surrounded by emeralds though... ;) I called my mom and told her I look good in diamonds, which she thought was hysterical.
