Like many, I've moved stuff over to Dreamwidth (same account name), and will probably shut down my LJ account eventually. I'm more frequently on (for reading and what little posting I do) over at Facebook though.

Greg McMullan is gone. It's hard to wrap my head around that.

I met him back around 1985 at MIT, when we were both students. I didn't know him as well as some, and we largely lost touch after he moved out of the Boston area, but I am glad to have had him as a friend. He was a good man, and he'll be missed.

The MIT Gilbert and Sullivan Players are performing HMS Pinafore in November. As usual in the past N years, I'm managing house for them. It should be a fun show; come and see.
