Reading "Animals in Translation" by Temple Grandin. She's pretty well known these days since HBO made a movie about her life. Grandin is a scientist born with autism. Her autism enabled her to understand animal behavior which she's used primarily to design more humane slaughterhouses.

School Book drive to benefit a Compton middle/high school
Check out the link below from rachelmanija. She is holding an online book drive for a local school that literally has no books. My love of reading started in middle school and it was a huge source of solace for me as I was a weird, socially awkward, melancholy kid. The idea of a school with no library is just heartbreaking.
