I'm working on this sweater. It's all about stash busting. I had these two yarns in my stash (Trendsetter Granito in #6 Sunset and Brown Sheep Country Knit in #001 Gold), from two different sources, in two different gauges, but in the same fiber and color family. So I’m making this up as I go. I’ve used short-row bust darts for the first time and ( Read more... )

I voted for Brown. Pearly purple was a close second.

I think that anything but the little buttons would work just fine. The little ones get lost in the ribbing.

Kind of hard to judge colors based on photos, but. That being said, the pink ones seem based on the photos to match one of the shades in the sweater body. I considered the beige and the brown, too, but the brown seems too dark against the orange band and the beige too light. I can't recall which ones I actually voted for. Possibly the sparkly purple, too, since it seemed like it too might match one of the body colors.

Which was basically my thought process -- the buttons needed to either match one of the body colors or else match the orange buttonband itself. With more leeway in terms of matching a body color because it's not the buttons would be lying right there against it to be directly compared. (Like the green-and-black ribbing I put on a pair of kneesocks when I ran out of the variegated green for the body color -- because I had that black border separating the green body from the green ribbing, I could get away with having a solid that mostly matched one of the greens in the variegation.)
