Dad's Favorite Bourbon Cake

Includes:
1 lb maraschino cherries, chopped
1/2 lb dates, chopped
1 pint bourbon
3/4 lb butter
6 eggs
1 lb sugar
1 c brown sugar
5 c flour
nutmeg, salt, baking powder
1 lb pecans, chopped

It is a heavy cake.

I'm sick. Again. I guess this makes up for the 18 months or so I went illness-free while singing the praises of the Neti Pot last year. Not even the wonderful Neti could ward of the two exploding sinus headcold things I've had in the past three months. Much in the same vein as SPLJ4 and 5, at the end of the summer I signed up through Ravelry to participate in a knitterly swap for people who watch The Office. It was a smaller swap with only 30 or so people participating, and its rules were slightly different.
