I had hoped to be able to get my knee replacement done this month and go back to work in the fall but funding issues have decided another path. I am actively trying to get a job now and will have to get my knee done later. The weight loss is helping a bunch and drugs help, too. As of today I have lost 70 lbs. :) The Doctor was looking at my before pics and said, WOW only one chin and look you have a neck! It made me feel good when he said how much difference he could see from 3 months ago. Sometimes I have trouble seeing the changes. They took new pics today and I have another appt. in August. Last week I spent 3 days at Bodega Bay with my sister, her hubby, their three granddaughters, and their new puppy. It was a lot of fun but not very relaxing. :) The girls ages 10, 6 and "almost 5" (she reminds me) were all in rare form. Dalton and Sonia were found safe today in a town below Los Angeles. I will let you know what the details are as soon as I know anything. Please keep Sonia in your prayers as her Dad has her and I hope and pray he will not hurt her... Thank you for all your support and caring during this episode... I appreciate it more than you'll ever know.

The kids are still missing and there has ben no word from them. My brother followed what he thought was a good lead but turned out to be nothing. God, I just wish they'd let us know they are ok. My nephew, Dalton and his girlfriend, Sonia, have been missing since the morning of March 10th. They are high school freshmen, and were last seen leaving for their respective schools, in the Sacramento, Ca. area, that morning. They didn't go to school, and haven't been seen or heard from since. Went to the Doc today for my 4 week check up. I am off all my blood pressure meds and my BP is very good. My blood sugar is normal with no intervention. My weight is down 29 lbs in 4 weeks. I feel good! The few bad days I have had are chalked up to life in adjustment and will fade as time goes on. It is strange to learn to listen to my body again, ( Read more... )
