Today I finished figuring out how to setup Skype on the computer that they installed in my room a few days ago, so now I can talk to anybody in the civilized world for just 2.1 cents a minute, as opposed to 13-17 cents it usually costs to call to/from India. The 17-hour flight from New York-JFK to Bangkok on Thai Airways was surprisingly pleasant, thanks to unusually good airline food and a wealth of free on-demand movies and Asian pop music to choose from.
