- watching Donnie Darko. Wow, what an odd yet awesome little movie. I wish I had time to watch it again before taking it back. Another one I'll have to own.

It's been pouring all night; I had to get up and shut all the windows. Cody occasionally leaves my room to sleep on the banquet in front of a window in the front bedroom and he came back to my room at some point and stood at the side of the bed licking my hand until I woke up. I almost forgot. One of the previews preceeding Waking Life was for Shallow Hal. I think I've seen that movie previewed on at least half of all the movies I've rented in the last few months and it offends me just a little more on each viewing ( Read more... )

1. I hope they have finished installing the A/C at work - all the drilling and smashing and hammering was a bit much.

2. I hope Shari's rad can be fixed by tomorrow; I'm already on gossip overload.

3. My mother called last night and apologized for being difficult.

4. Two more days til the weekend.

5. I feel almost rant free this morning. Huh.

Woah. I really loved Waking Life. I'm going to have to give it a second viewing (listening?) tomorrow as I spent some of it sorting through old photos. Imagine if even some of the daily mundane conversations we endure could be replaced by some of the ideas in this film. My brain feels like it's been power sprayed or something.

When waiting for a return email, what is the appropriate amount of time one should spend staring blankly at the screen and hitting refresh? Is three hours excessive? Is five? Doesn't anybody live on their computer anymore?

sheesh.

Watched the first of my two rentals tonight, Happenstance and loved it; it's a good companion film to Audrey Tautou's other movie AmelieHer role isn't as large, in that she shares the movie with at least 20 other characters whose lives are all affected by the choices and actions of every other character in the movie.
