Seasons' Greetings 2011 - Wishes Summary List
Please find beneath the cut a summary list of all the wishes that have been submitted for lilyjames_fest's Seasons' Greetings 2011! We've got a lovely round number of 20 for this fest so far, and a ton of fabulous prompts! :D
We encourage all participants to take a few minutes to peruse these (you can click on LINK TO WISH to view the wishes as they had been originally submitted.). We recommend that you select about 3 different giftees as claiming prospects for the gift that you will create. This is because claims will be made on a first-come, first-serve basis, and there's a chance that the giftee you're eyeing gets claimed by someone else before you get the chance.
We'll be opening up prompts for claiming sometime on 24th October. Please look out for the confirmation post on the exact timing (as well as an ETA to this post, hopefully). Thanks! :D

1) Chalet Girl style: Lily needs to earn some money over the Christmas hols, she applies to become a chalet girl for a rich, wizarding family, only to find that the son of the owners is none other than James. Trouble ensues.(Can be AU where she doesn't know him, but it would be nice if she does.)
2) James' family holds a Christmas ball and he invites all his friends. Lily, who is still uncertain about her feelings for him, attends. The outcome of the ball changes her feelings.
3) A snowy date in Hogsmeade.
Likes: Hogwarts-era set fic. Anything fun, funny and fluffy, with the two of them finally getting together is a plus. I love interesting AU scenarios. And anything with a healthy dose of Christmas spirit. And smut is fine too!
Squicks: I'm not really a fan of fics where they're already together and loved up, with Harry etc. I'm more of a fan of 'the journey' as it were.

Likes: This is just a list of things I like to give you an idea about content more than the prompts. By no means is this list exhaustive, nor do I expect something more than one or two of these. Just some ideas for you. :-D
I love angst, though there is a difference between angst and whining. I love desperation: everything is too hard too fast, so immediate you can't hardly breathe, torn shirts, lost buttons. Tender moments during something rough and desperate, doesn't have to be sex it can be earnest kisses or longing in some other way. Guys grabbing girls faces. Girls grabbing shoulders and feeling enveloped or held. Any picture by Viria13 is a great example. Clasped hands. Needing to touch, either soft or hard.
Squicks: I really don't like fanmixes, especially playlists. Scat, blood, excessive violence are all things I don't care for. I dislike passive Sirius, James being a straight out a$$hole, and Lily either being prissy, giggly bimbo, or completely passive. I love characters and characterization and emotion from both, neither just acting as an instrument or a tool.

2. It's the end of 7th year and James is being recruited by quidditch teams, but he's unsure if pro Quidditch will conflict with other plans he has after Hogwarts. (marriage, OOTP, etc)
3. James and Sirius run into Lily at a bar over the summer before 7th year. Lily leaves with them and finds herself really enjoying their company but it eventually leads to unresolved sexual tension.
Likes: I like when they use dirty British swears, so would prefer pg-13 or r rating

Likes: If you write me a fic, please, please I beg of you, do something with Peter. He gets left out so often, the poor bloke, and I think his role in the early Marauders would actually have been quite hilarious. So that is my challenge to you: fit him in, in an important or comedic way.
Bonus points if you can portray Lily without writing her as a perpetually self-righteous, uppity bint. :( I don't think of her that way and I think too many people write her temper into every moment of her existence.
Squicks: I don't ship Snilly or Liverus or whatever the kids call it these days, however I do like conversations/ situations between James and Lily that cover her defeated relationship with Snape and her budding relationship with James. Take from that what you will!
Please no references to or cameos from 'exes' ie other guys/ gals James or Lily may have dated.

He gets left out so often, the poor bloke, and I think his role in the early Marauders would actually have been quite hilarious. So that is my challenge to you: fit him in, in an important or comedic way.
Bonus points if you can portray Lily without writing her as a perpetually self-righteous, uppity bint. :( I don't think of her that way and I think too many people write her temper into every moment of her existence.
Squicks: I don't ship Snilly or Liverus or whatever the kids call it these days, however I do like conversations/ situations between James and Lily that cover her defeated relationship with Snape and her budding relationship with James. Take from that what you will!
Please no references to or cameos from 'exes' ie other guys/ gals James or Lily may have dated.
