For all of you out there who fasted, good job.  Like we say in Farsi, "Ghabool Basheh" = may it be accepted.

I should try to study for GREs, but I don't want to.  The baby's asleep so she's not an available excuse for not studying.  Oh, well.

So how would you describe most people these days (excluding despots and terrorists)?  It's usually either "Nice", and "Good".  But those terms are so vague nowadays that it just has no value to it, in my opinion.  How do you define "nice" or "good"? The air has been so dry lately that my hands are all dry and cracked and bleeding.  And to make it worse, I'm forever having to wash my wash my hands due to my dealing with the baby's poop and such, so even when I apply moisturizer, I have to wash it off after about 30 minutes! I was sick much of last week, and now, thanks to stupid post-nasal drip, I've been extremely hoarse for days and I can't stop coughing.  What's worse, I can't kiss my baby because I'm afraid she might get whatever I got!! Grr.

So I'm finally getting used to the baby-induced sleep deprivation.  And Tova's getting to be more responsive as she gets older --although she was super-duper alert from the moment she was born.  And thankfully, Sir Bob takes her off my hands whenever he can so I can get more sleep here and there ( Read more... )

Thanks to the stupid wildfires (thank you, annual Santa Anas), the air outside is disgustingly hazy and all of our cars are coated in ash.  Closing the windows doesn't help because I still can smell the smokiness and it's giving me a headache!
