So I'm back to drinking caffeinated coffee in the mornings, thanks to the oh-so cute Tova.  She keeps me up for hours and is slowly sucking me dry.  But she's too cute for me to get frustrated with her -- even her poops are a pleasure to clean up.  Fortunately, I pass the time during daytime feedings by watching Simpsons DVDs.  Nightime is harder ( Read more... )

So I'm majorly tired, but it just doesn't matter. Listening to my daughter snore (yes, snore!) from the other room makes all the tiredness go away.  Thank G-d.

Who knew that cleaning projectile baby poop could be such a joy?

I think the sleep deprivation is getting to me. 

I am thrilled to announce the arrival of an adorable little girl (formerly known as Punchy in-utero) on Shemini Atzeret (Monday) night that has my eyes and chin and Sir Bob's nose and ears.  Labor wasn't too bad -- after the epidural, that is.  I had a lot of support and help during that time, and now I'm just ecstatic and running on very little ( Read more... )

Punchy is seriously slowing me down these days. G-d willing only 5 more weeks to go!! Scary.

I've discovered a horrifying food: Aspic.

So we got a state tax refund of a whopping $1.06!!! Our money troubles are over!

In unrelated news, a recent-sized house in Baltimore costs as much as the downpayment we put on our home here. Sheesh. 

So true. 

And I am pleased to report that I am almost finished watching all 12 seasons of Good Eats. 

It appears we may have a wasp problem.  A couple of those scary looking beasts have shown up out of thin air in our kitchen. We trapped one under the fridge, and another in a window -- they're too tough to kill.
