I heard some bad news today. My cat, Milo, has been walking with a limp for several days. So, E took him to the vet this morning. The vet examined Milo, then sedated him and took x-rays. The vet believes that Milo has cancer in his leg bone. It is essentially eating away at the bones of that leg. The vet suggested going to a specialist for cancer ( Read more... )

I am so sorry to hear about Milo. I think amputating the leg is the way to go. Besides, think how funny he will be with his weirdo behavior and 3 legs:) All kidding aside, I hope everything works out.

Oh sweetie.... I'm sorry about Milo. I agree that amputation seems the course to go with. He will have a good, full life and we will have a few loving chuckles at the 3-legged kitty. All will work out in the end.

Love and Blessings.

Hey there - I am sorry to hear about the kitty. But - I agree that ampuation is the way to go. He will still be able to do anything he wants once he gets used to things. And it puts out the trauma of repetative vet visits year after year. Good luck and if you want to ask any strange and wacky questions pre surgery I might be able to help.

*hugs* I'm in agreement w/ all above. Milo is just crazy enough to be able to handle amputation and life as a 3 legged kitty. No worries Chica- he'll be just fine- I've read enough stories from the dane rescue about amputation that the dogs are just fine afterwards. I know it's going to be hard but if you need any help or another shoulder to lean on, let me know.
