all_so_quiet is Imogen and she will be moving into Briar Rose to live with us very soon. She's a dear friend of Isabelle's and I hope that you'll all get to know her as we do.

Yesterday Isabelle came to join us for dinner in the dining room. I couldn't have asked for a better present.

I don't even know how to relate to her any more.

I hate to bring bad news to the table, but I'm growing more and more concerned about Isabelle. She won't talk to me or to her husband and she's drowning. I think maybe she needs someone closer to her own age maybe? At the moment I'm willing to try anything.

In times of such loss, need and terror it is up to those who have been placed in positions of influence to reinstate what is truly important.

Icarus Burning has been officially picked up by my publisher and they predict it will be on shelves within the next three months. Today I sent my first novel in six years to my publisher. There's a feeling of release knowing that it's no longer in my hands.
