Okay guys, are you ready for some major tl;dr? Neither am I. But let's get it over with. Also, there are some additional draftees to this list! So if you weren't on the last list, be sure to peek in here and check, so you don't risk missing out.

QUESTION/PLOT 1week_wizard February 23 2011, 19:32:21 UTC
A few people probably missed it, but Patchouli has a plan in the works in order to neutralize the anti-power Shifters. Basically she is creating shields with her Metal elemental magic that act as seals, dampening the powers of whoever holds them. However, if those shields are struck by these Shifters, it will unseal their power and allow them a brief second of full-ish power to take them out. And of course every mage type would have those not dependent on powers backing them up to get them into battle (likely with swords provided by Shirou Emiya).

MY QUESTION IS: Is this idea going to work or are they going to fail miserably?

Because I intend to have Patchy killed, and I'm trying to iron out the how and why.

I want to say I think you're a terrible person for wanting to get her killed.

You just want her housemates to go berserk, don't you? XD

I have a certain addiction to well timed and well played character deaths, okay. I DON'T DO IT OFTEN. But when I DO do it, I wanna do it big.

Also, come on, Dead Patchy means RAGE Flandre (if Sam sends her) and it's pretty much battle over at that point.

I got Yuber here and Asad going. Yuber pretty much is not a team player. Since he knows how Vash is, expect to see him killing downed Third Party members Vash leaves (or anyone else does) when he sees them.

Also, are we going to do some planning of groups by chance like we did for the second draft? Or any planning for people to keep an eye out for the non-combatants and anyone seriously impeded by the Shifters? I know we don't have time to do it IC, but doing it OOCly and handwaving like the second draft might be a good idea.

But anyway, if anyone wants to plot, I'd be cool with it.

Edit: And I see Athena posted while I was writing reply. Go me!

.../raises hand

I'd still be interested in plotting something here. Sanji is going but it looks like he's going to be spending a whole bunch of time with other people on the draft and probably not much with Nami, so.

So you want to make Sanji regret that then?

LOL. Never take your eyes off her, Sanji. 8|

Actually, Marie's spoken to me since and said she'd like to get involved if possible. |D If you're in chat I shall poke you.

So are the additional draftees with the handicap aware of the situation?

They'll have warning they're being drafted a day before it happens. There may be a kind of vague warning about side effects, but they really will have no idea what to expect.

So, Cheyenne's powers are awful in about a million ways, since the one real way she knows how to fight is to tear at a creature's soul until their bodies can't handle the strain and they die. It happens pretty quickly, but it's not a pretty sight.

Also, without the powercap in effect, she won't die unless she's set on fire or cut-up-beyond-repair to the point where she can't regenerate anymore. Oh, and walking within 20 feet of her will make people feel more anxious or stressed than they already would be (basically, a toned-down version of what touching her does, only it won't effect super powerful characters).

All of which means, whatever part of the battlefield she ends up on it going to look like something out a horror movie.

...tl;dr: Anyone up for plotting some nightmare fuel? |D;;

...Masaomi will want to have her in the group to "keep her safe" but given that his group has two yanderes in it that aura sphere of anxiety might not be the best thing ever. That said, the fighting style won't be a problem most of the group is too insane to notice.

This will end up being one big group of crazy people, seriously.

Cheyenne would probably insist that she fight as far away from them as possible so she doesn't accidentally eat their souls, too. But, if they happened to wind up in the same area while out fighting, she'd probably stick relatively close by to try to help them out.

Well there is safety in numbers and such.

So should we count on a run-in or should I list her as part of THE SQUAD of madmen?

Who wanna plot?

Kouki's either with the main defensive group or the clearing one. And without his demons, he'll try to stick with people that can cover for him.
