Meh.
I desperately need a vacation. But also need to make sure I buy a house this year, so I can get the tax credit. This saving for a house and never doing anything "shtuff" has been going on for too long. I know it's because I really don't want to live in this area.

Thankful Thursday
I am very grateful that the local police caught the person who broke into my apartment building last night. And extremely grateful for the bored/nosy soul here in the complex who noticed suspicious activity and called the police. I was home at the time, and it became a very odd night, but all's well that ends well! -
It's Thursday again
Breaking the silence to post this Thursday's thanks. I am thankful that:
1. this was a four-day work week for me
2. asshole neighbor is not home yet
3. I should be in a new apt in this complex in a month (see above)
4. Maxwell house and other good coffee brands exist
5. my weird little sense of humor never fails me

In other news, yesterday I went out to a "thank you" lunch that some people I did proposals for at work invited my department to, and then after that found myself on the road....to a tattoo parlor with a design on my flash drive. Recently I've been hearing one of my kittens making noise in what seems to be underneath or behind my sofa. She's really too big now to get under there easily, so when I heard her down there this am I got my flashlight and decided to get down on the floor and "investigate." trapped in midget hell
Damnit. Was measured at the doctor today and was 4'5 1/2", NOT 4'6". Granted, my head was sort of pushing against the edge of the ruler, but still....if I've lost 1/2" I will be VERY unhappy. This matters when you're my (lack of) height. -
"Fly your freak flag" Friday
I am watching "The Family Stone" on tv and one character tells the other "you've got a freak flag, you just don't fly it." Loved that line. Heck, we're all freaks in some way, and it's Friday , so might as well get those freak flags flying! Be 100% yourself. I certainly plan to get mine out of storage today. -
