Counting calories!
I got this app for my iPod Touch that allows me to track how many calories I take in each day. I never thought about tracking my caloric intake before, but it seems to be doing wonders. I programmed in that I wanted to lose 2lbs per week (from 168lbs to 160lbs), and it reported that I need to keep my intake below 1500 calories per day (the ( Read more... ) -
Subliminal Obama?
I noticed that when I watch Obama give speeches or conduct press conferences, that I find myself liking the guy. When I read the same things in print, however, I hate his guts with a passion unlike anything I've felt before (well, not since the Emperor in Star Wars when I was a kid). Ice and Snow
I left New Orleans last Tuesday. it was a rather sad farewell. I drove through fields of exploding power transformers in an ice storm, and hundreds of miles of snow-covered roads. I am now living in Michigan. Damn it is cold. -
Louisiana, You Will Be Missed
So, tomorrow the movers arrive and pack up everything in the house. I'm currently doing last-minute sorting of which items I need to take with me in person. Everything else will be put into storage for a couple of months until the short sale of the house we're buying is finished ( Read more... ) -
Worried
I'm quite concerned about an Obama presidency. I hope I'm wrong, but I have a feeling that Obama's policies are going to lead to additional economic problems a few years down the line. I don't think people really understand the implications of increased taxation, especially during an economic downturn. Still, I'm willing to watch and wait. ( Read more... ) -

Am I the only person concerned about the government bailout of AIG? ...and their now 80% stake in owning it?
