Wolfram Alpha. A computation tool. Imagine if I'd had this as a child, rather than having to program a computer to do my math homework. (A calculator wasn't allowed, but I was never forbidden from using the computer to do it.) -
Saturday!
I'm glad I got a few hours of sleep, and I'm even more glad that I had the foresight to leave my clothes in an easy to reach spot.
( The 2:00 - 6:00 ops staffer didn't arrive and couldn't be reached. ) -
Penguicon: End of Day 1
I know. It's not even midnight. That said, I'm tired and want to be certain I can wake up if anyone from Ops calls with a problem starting at 2:00 AM.

Penguicon: Free Space Launch
I just got back from my first presentation - the launch of the Free Space game for the weekend.
Assuming I can (a) get a network connection and (b) think of some good ideas, I look forward to participating. Participating in a game with an actual real world outcome is not something I've done before ( Read more... ) -
It has begun!
Registration opened, so it seems fair to say that Penguicon has begun.

Penguicon: -1.25 hours
Registration opens at 4:00 PM, but I was able to get my badge early. Most of the day I've spent "setting up" Ops, which I've either done completely incorrectly, or it really is not all that labor intensive. All I really did was take the boxes out of storage, move them to the Ops area, and take some things out of the boxes.
