I awoke this morning at 3am, unable to sleep anymore. Perhaps it was nervousness from having to teach my last ACT class at 9am. Perhaps it was some bizarre biological function which manifested itself as a gnawing pang of hunger despite a full meal the previous evening. Well, I'm on hold right now in so many ways: my laundry is drying; I'm awaiting my credit card company's servers go back on line so that I may check my account; I'm waiting to go off to work today; and I'm trying to find a way to continue doing graduate school. Well, the tart turned out pretty well. The fruit combination (peaches, nectarines, plums, raspberries, and snow raspberries) was quite good. Very tart, but not too tart, which is good for a tart. The crust was less of a success. The first came out somewhat flaky, but the second was heavy and chalky. I overworked the second one. I think I'll limit ( Read more... )

So, I just finished composing an invite to a Star Wars marathon, which will kick some ass. I think the invite was pretty good, but could have done better with more time.
