I am already in bed. With this being daylight saving weekend, I've set all my clocks already this afternoon since my philosophy is I'd rather lose an hour during the day when I'm doing nothing anyway, and get a full night of sleep when I can enjoy my crazy dreams in full. First run of the year...
The sunlight and above-freezing temperature this weekend have been very nice. I ran outside for the first time this year and reminded myself how wonderful it feels. To me, running is a celebration of being human. It's something our bodies were built to do, and do well. We're the fastest of the great apes and have one of the highest anaerobic ( Read more... ) -
A mid-winter report...
Tiny orange season is nearing an end. They are not as tasty now as they were a few weeks ago, and our household consumption has slowed to only two crates this week, from a peak of about five crates per week last month. Hines Park Time Trial...
Sunday morning, I did indeed go out to the accursed and dreaded Hines Drive and, for the first time since April 2008, I both started and finished a bike race. 6 AM Saturday morning...
Arriving at Cannes for the closing of the Film Festival. Not usually my scene, but I promised arkaycee a 2 hour media appearance in exchange for feeding my cats. We had the largest and most expensive yacht in the harbor. The smaller blue one off the port bow is Paul Allen's Octopus.
