Cats who decide to take a nap on the lid of a paint can while Hubby is painting the new room are really silly. I'm glad he moved his nap to the cat perch (which is now covered with a rust-colored cat shape) instead of something important like....say...my couch or my bed....

Sheesh.

I have a bunch of leeks in the fridge that I need to use up, and I was surfing the net looking for a recipe for something other than leek and potato soup. Imagine my surprise when I found a recipe for chocolate zucchini leek and potato soup. Ummmm, yea....I can't wait to try that out.

Not only does my car toy say YIPPEE, it also says WOO HOO. I am so keeping it. :D

I've been taking up a collection of baby things for a friend of mine that's about to have a baby boy. I don't have a lot of money and her family has even less, so I've been taking donations anywhere and everywhere I can find them. I've gotten quite a few things from Freecycle and one of my coworkers gave me two huge bags of clothes and toys this ( Read more... )

I can't imagine a huge store like that doesn't carry Hanukah candles; I couldn't find any for my menorah. My own fault for putting it off til the last minute, yes, but out of the six stores I went to in my area, nobody carries them. I'm sure I'm not the only person in Pinellas Park that wanted to celebrate Hanukah by lighting candles on Sunday ( Read more... )
