Caught on parking lot surveillance video, a woman driving a mini-van with 4 children on-board attempted to beat the train at a crossing in Hammond Indiana.

Her stupidity has resulted in the death her two children who were thrown from the vehicle by the impact.  The mother is in critical condition at Loyola Medical Center and the other two children ( Read more... )

One of the battery backups at work is registering a failure light.  The problem is that it is mounted in the two bottom most Us of a Dell rack.  For those who have never seen Dell's racks they are designed by a doofus.  The rack has a lip on the bottom that kind of blocks the ability to pull out a device mounted in the bottom through the front of ( Read more... )

It was a very bad thunderstorm this evening while on my way home from work.  As I was walking from the train to the car a lightning bolt touched down 50 feet from where I was standing and obliterated some wooden thing (either a fence post or a small tree) sending sparks up into the air nearly 20 feet.  It left me and the two people near me ( Read more... )

I just read about how 5 States have found a new and improved way to rake its citizens over the coals.

Texas, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, and Virgina have enacted new "driver laws" that charge the offender a yearly tax for traffic offenses.

I just walked past the film crew set downtown where they are filming the next Batman film and saw something interresting....
On the outside of the trailers the info taped onthe doors read:

"B double"
"Scarecrow dbl"
"Scarecrow gang"

Well it looks like the deadbeat tenants have left the property. I go in tomorrow with an Aurora Police officer with me --just to be safe-- and evaluate everything.
