Bit of family bad news.
Some shock news yesterday, my SIL, who is really more like my own sister, has just been diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia. She found out at 4.30 pm, phoned me at 4.58 and was admitted to hospital at 6.30 pm. We drove the 1 1/2 hours to her local hospital today to see her, taking her father along as well. Why am I always feeling Guilty?
I seem to have a bad case of the Chronic Guilts. Even the little note that tells me it has been 6 weeks since I last posted here makes me feel Guilty! I'm such a terrible person, I can't even find the time to tap at the keyboard for a few minutes!

Since I last posted, the year has just been flying by. It can't be the last week of March already, can it? I've been listing and dealing with each little job/project as the deadline looms lately, I just can't seem to get myself organised very well at all. Wasting time.
I really must stop wasting time ! I had a phone call today to remind me that the repair I'm doing on an original antique garment is needed by 5th March, and I haven't even looked at it yet. Yes, unfortunately. Holidays are over, and it's time to get serious again. At least the official Summer has only one more month to go, we have already had a couple of cooler nights amongst the horrible humid ones. Back to Routine (almost) !
My two teaching sessions went well, thankfully only 8 of the possible 14 children arrived for the free class at the local library, so I took 5 for some basic embroidery while another teacher took 3 late comers. I find it very hard to get back into normal routine after the Christmas / New Year period, even though my kids have been out of school for about 4 years now I still find myself taking a 5 week holiday at this time of year. Good News Week after all
The good news is that my glasses were repaired and picked up on Tuesday, ahead of schedule. The even better news is that I DID order that purple pair, YEAH, so I will have a whole new look early in the New Year. I'll put the superceded ones away in a safe place, and although my prescription has changed slightly, I'll have them to wear when I go ( Read more... )
