Pottery
A few months ago Ryan and Alex started going to the Orlando Pottery Studio. This last week Ryan bought a pottery wheel. Alex gave me my first lesson, and helped me make a bowl. I've also made a vessel that I think will become a candle holder. It's really fun. It is hard and frustrating, but also really rewarding. -
Closure
When I was about 10 years-old my cousin, Renia, found this book. It was all about a girl who dresses up like a boy so that she can become a knight. As a little girl who thought the boys had all the fun, it was an instantly captivating story. The only problem was that this was the first book in a series of four, and it was fantasy. News
I found out yesterday that one of my poems has been accepted to the Rollins student literary journal. It's the first time that any of my writing has been picked. When I was at Valencia some of my writing was put in the magazine there, but everyone in Creative Writing had work put in so that's not the same thing. I'm really excited. Sleep
Sleep has been elusive lately. I don't know what is going on, but in the last few weeks I have had three or four nights were I haven't been able to sleep at all and quite a few nights where I have only slept for a few hours. It's starting to drive me crazy. I either can't sleep or I'm so tired that I feel like I can't wake up once I get to sleep. -
Scary
On Saturday night Ryan, Fiona, and I left Amy's and Alex's apartment. We were riding our bikes and Fiona was in her car seat strapped into a trailer behind Ryan's bike. As we rode out in the righthand lane a car made a right turn into the lefthand lane. Except the SUV didn't go into the left lane, she drove into the right lane and stayed there. ( Read more... )
