Just watched "Faintheart" Bloody brilliant! If you've ever hung around with re-enactors, this is a very very funny movie. If you've ever tried to juggle Real Life(TM) with re-enactment (or whatever flavour), then it's also slightly painful. If you have kids, expect to cringe.

Funniest line: "I used to be one."

We got up rather earlier than we had planned due to the large Indian family above and next door deciding they needed to plan their day, loudly, outside, at five-thirty in the morning. Gah.

We had showers, breakkfast, packed and were checked out before eight. Then a quick topup of petrol and off we went South.

We woke when we woke, had breakfast and the girls had a lovely time using the flash shower while I had a cup of coffee. off we went today, through the rain and wind we headed North on the new toll road. The kauri museum was pretty neat, and when we reached the Kauri trees the kids were suitably impressed. Now we're safely ensconced in our motel room, eating nibbles and watching the dreadful weather forecast. We'll have to do some planning I guess for tomorrow.

After a slow morning, largely due to the presence of Sky and therefore Nickelodeon, we took ourselves into town to explore Kelly Tarltons. It's changed a lot since I was there last, and was pretty neat. The feeding of the stingrays was pretty impressive.
