Great News
Mom is awake!!!! She is still on a respirator but she is conscious. They did a tracheotomy so the tube is now going through her throat instead of down it which is more comfortable. She is also able to be off the respirator for a couple hours at a time, which is great news. She wouldn't be coming home anytime soon but she is doing great. ( Read more... ) -
Mom update
It's fairly good news. Mom was moved into ICU on Monday. She is still on the respirator but is stable and apparently responding to antibiotics. It turns out that her main problem at the moment is really bad pneumonia. When they has that cleared up, they can take her off the respirator. But they say that that won't be happening anytime soon. Another Mom update
So I went to the hospital. Mom doesn't look very good, she is still on a respirator and the doctors say she is very sick. However, they never said that it is life threatening so I'm going to believe that that is an important omission and that she is going to recover. We don't have a lot of information yet as they are still running tests but I am ( Read more... ) -
Mom update
My Dad just got back and he says its really bad. Mom is on a respirator as she doesn't seem to be breathing on her own. Dad wasn't even allowed to see her. I'm freaking out pretty badly right now. -
Bad, bad day
So my Mom is back in the hospital. She was really disoriented this morning so Dad stayed home from work. I guess Mom was trying to walk to the bathroom and she fell. Dad called an ambulance and it looks like Mom badly broke her ankle. Dad's waiting to talk to the doctors but it looks like she is also having trouble breathing so we have no idea ( Read more... ) -

For some reason I can not stop reading. I have now finished 8 novels in 10 days and I'm about to start my 9th. I wonder how long I can keep this up. -
