A Momentous Occasion...Or so I'm told
I officially graduated today with my M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology. I hope this career choice will be as rewarding as everyone tells me it is! I can't believe that I start my new job next week. It's been awhile...
I can't believe that I'm almost done with my first externship! Aside from the kids killing my immune system and having to wake up at, no BEFORE, the crack of dawn every day, it was pretty ok! Still though, can't wait to graduate and start making money... Only thing left is the hospital externship, a few classes, the PRAXIS, and the dreaded COMPS ( Read more... ) -

Vacation!
Tomorrow is orientation day for the new master's program. I feel like it's deja-vu, except with a hopefully better job outcome this time. As of now, I have no funding for tuition and no job after next week. Needless to say, I won't be eating out or buying anything for awhile... That aside, Pedro and I had a great time on vacation. Oh, where do I start? I'm so exhausted, I'm surprised my fingers are able to type anything intelligible. I got my blood drawn this morning and I'm hoping the test results come back normal. I haven't had a check up in years so I visited a doctor yesterday that my boss recommended. He was asking me several questions and then briefly in passing ( Read more... ) -
Wow, I'm Exhausted!
It was a looooooong day. Good, but long. We had breakfast this morning at this little Venezuelan bakery called The Bread Shop. I tried something called a golfeado. It was....interesting. We bought the tickets for San Francisco! Now I just need to find a place to stay. We've found one apartment rental that looks promising and a decent price but we're waiting for the owner to get back to us with more pictures. We're also thinking about driving up to Yosemite National Park for a few days to check it out. I watched a program about ( Read more... ) -
Suggestions Needed
So Pedro and I are trying to plan a much needed vacation in early August and so far we're thinking about going to San Francisco and the surrounding area. Neither one of us has been to California and we thought that it would be a neat place to explore.
