Winter Warmers
Well, winter is well and truly here; despite the reeent run of mild days, I think today's gale force winds has blown the last of it away.
Time to change my LJ wallpaper to something more wintry I think.

I got QVM'd.
I bought some fabric for new Midwinter veils for Ailis and me from the "wool woman" and the markets today. It looks like silk, it feels like silk, when I asked she said it was silk. Man Flu Alert! UPDATE 3.55 pm
SammyHubby has developed the following Man Flu symptoms: sniffles; sore throat; tiredness; headache. While this may be no more than a Common Cold, there is a high likelihood of it developing into a full blown case of Man Flu or the slightly less virulent but equally debilitating Man Cold.

Just a thought
Following on from the conversations on Q&A tonight: as the economic crisis tightens, will our focus on acquiring ‘stuff’ as a competitve passtime diminish? And if so, will that lead to a rekindling of community?
Other than my SCA interactions, I really believe that the sense of community has diminished as I’ve become older. Or perhaps that’s just ( Read more... )
