Les decided to have all the paving done, and chose this week for the job. I tried to tell him it needed to wait until the kitchen was finished, but he didn't listen. The living room now has 3 boxes occupying quite a large area. These are the oven, cooktop and rangehood. From here things will get worse as I have to somehow set up a food preparation area in the limited remaining space. I can't give the name of this rose because I removed the label and put it in a 'safe place'. However, it is a nice shape, and a stunning colour. I think it must have been one of the new varieties that I purchased last winter.

I've arranged that Harvey Norman will deliver the kitchen appliances on Friday, and remove the gas stove. The appliances will have to be stacked in the livingroom until they are installed, but the removal of the stove will free up some space in the kitchen, which could perhaps accommodate the freezer whilst the installation of the cupboards is ( Read more... )

I haven't been very visible on LJ over the last 2 weeks, firstly because of Christmas (I had a lovely one), and secondly because the eczema rash which has been driving me demented for a very long time settled down, due to the fact that I was more relaxed, and I was actually SLEEPING 10 to 12 hours per night, so no LJ. Some of you may remember that I posted a pic of wild clematis gone to seed in late Autumn 2008. Here is a pic of the very insignificant flower which is now blooming in the front garden (but not for much longer - that particular garden bed is close to the top of the list for extreme makeover.
