If you see someone on the internet say they're going to commit suicide, do you have an ethical responsibility to try to stop them? Suppose:

1. They've said their name and the city that they live in.
2. They sound calm and reasonable.
3. You don't know whether any of it is true (it's the internet).

I had signed up for a Netflix free trial to try out the "Watch Instantly" feature. It sucked, so I didn't visit the site again until today, since I thought that I better cancel my account before they charge me. It was too late though -- they had already charged me. I tried to go do a short hike at Cataract Falls in Marin County today, but the road was closed, and the start of the hike was like 6 miles away. I didn't feel like hiking 12 miles, so I took some pictures where I was and went home.

The road there is steep and windy, and there were a lot of bicyclists riding up it. Crazy motherfuckers.
