Sakura

Like being back in the womb
On a whim today, I went to a floatation center after work and spent an hour in a sensory deprivation tank, then an hour between the steam room and some saunas. Soooo relaxing ( Read more... ) -

I woke up with the beginnings of a migraine this morning. Took some meds, pulled out my lavender eye mask, took the comforter off my bed and made it up with a sheet and kept my half-filled Sigg bottle at the ready. Winter wonderland
It started snowing this morning, and snowed most of the day. We have about 2-4" of snow, with a nice sheet of ice underneath. Needless to say, they announced that the Portland Public Schools would be closed on Monday at around 4 this afternoon...which means my clinic is closed as well. Why does Thanksgiving dinner taste so much better the next day as leftovers? -
Thanksgiving
Started prepping the turkey at around 1, put it in the oven around 2, it was done around 6:15 (our oven is seriously miscalibrated) and we sat down to dinner at 7:10. Not bad for doing almost everything on my own! Turkey was good. I made cranberry sauce from scratch for the first time this year and it turned out good! Needed a bit more sugar though ( Read more... )
