Am idiot.

Spent an hour and a half rearranging room, one hour of which was wedging bed into space just exactly big enough. Finished. Thought of how difficult it would be to get back out again, suddenly considered possibility that Maintenance might not want bed there. Panicked, almost cried.

Nothing new here, I'm sure, but I'm becoming increasingly puzzled by the United States' apparently total unpreparedness for any sort of disaster. ( The two major examples I'm thinking of are the World Trade Center and Katrina. )

Normally, comments about my hair make me snark inside. They're almost invariably made by people I don't know, generally when I'm in some sort of customer service situation and can't make use of clever retorts, which are warrented because the comments are REALLY STUPID.
