Chapter 4
Kame hadn’t able to sleep for the rest of the night. He tried his best to ignore his so far the weirdest dream he had had but through out the night he didn’t managed to erase the dream out of his head and not to mention the brown haired handsome boy who are mostly been part of his dream doing... Anyway, in the end, he was wide awake until the purple light peers across his window.
He gets up and decided to take a shower. It’s a bit too early but it’s too late to keep trying to get some sleep. Anyway, today is weekend, so no classes; he can sleep later whenever he wanted to.
Kame wasn’t quite sure how he feels at this moment, he feels tired but all he has done was taking a shower and getting himself dressed. The feeling he’s positively certain is that he didn’t want to see Akanishi right now. But he’s starving. He can hear the growl of his own stomach.
He went to the kitchen. He saw the taller boy still wearing his pajamas and an apron on top of it, busy making their breakfast. How long has Akanishi been living with them? Almost a month already he assumed.
“Ohayou.” The taller boy greeted him.
“Ohayou.” He then answered, sitting on one of the seats.
“You’re early, and you looked like you haven’t slept at all.” Akanishi commented.
“I just...had a dream.” Kame said, doesn’t really want to talk about it to anyone especially with the boy talking to him.
“Is it a nightmare?” Akanishi asked while he’s placing the food on top of the table and finds his seat across the black haired girl.
The distance between them gradually fading away as days passed them by. They go to school and went home together everyday but still, they do not speak to each other unless they’re at home. But then, they both feel like some friendship deep within them beginning to grow.
“No. But let’s just drop it, okay? I don’t really want to talk about...about that...” The image of his dream flashes inside his head and he can’t look at the boy in front of him anymore. He also feels his face getting red. 'Damn it!'
Kame’s father comes running to the kitchen, his tie hanging on his shoulder and his hair’s still in a mess. He hurriedly gets a piece of bread and look at the two teen who’s questionably staring at him. “Don’t ask. I’m late.” He said and then puts his bread into his mouth. He turns around and waves his hand as his leave-taking and on the spur of the moment, he’s gone.
“He’s pretty busy nowadays.” Akanishi remarked.
They were left alone. They started eating and Kame can’t help himself watch the other boy under his eyelids, Akanishi’s eyes are busy reading some random magazine, his mouth full of food.
Suddenly, Akanishi moved. Kame abruptly changed his stare to a different direction. The last thing he wished for is to get caught staring at the boy in front of him.
From the corner of his eyes, he saw Akanishi took his cup of tea and sip from it.
Gradually he placed his stare from underneath his black locks to look at Akanishi once again. His lips are wet probably from drinking his tea. He saw the handsome boy lick his lower lip and then bit it afterwards as if an act of seduction; as if he knew that the he was staring at it. And that makes Kame swallow, his heart commencing to beat rapidly.
The memories of his dream are all coming back to him, from the soft kiss to one passionate and hungrily kiss, every touch of Akanishi’s hands trailing his skin, the feeling of fucking with the taller boy by his barely hand and every gasp and barely intake of breath... God! He’s feeling hot right now. Why does it give him some feeling he can’t understand at all...
“Ne, Kazuya, daijoubu ka?” he heard Akanishi asked. He completely didn’t notice that the boy in front was now staring at him.
“Eh?...” Kame mumbled.
The taller boy hand him a white handkerchief, “Your nose are bleeding. Are you sick?”
“Huh?” Kame touched the skin under his nose with his index finger and he looked at it after. Fuck! He cursed in his head. He was really nosebleeding! This is hell embarrassing! He was like those freaking perverted characters from some random dorama.
He received the hankie from Akanishi’s hand and wipes it through his bleeding nose. ‘Damn! Does it give him some idea that I might have perverted thoughts inside my head?’ Kame thought anxiously.
“Kazuya, are you feeling alright?” The taller boy whose now beside him, asked him again, concerned.
‘Snap it out Kamenashi Kazuya!’ He told himself in his mind. “Aha...A-ha-ha...” he tried to sound like laughing. Yeah, he looks stupid; he just wanted to ease Akanishi’s worry over him. “I...I should get inside my room... And don’t worry, it’s nothing.” He told to the concerned boy and after that he turned towards his room upstairs.
Akanishi was left alone and a smirk plastered on his face while watching the smaller girl taking her leave.

There’s a group of boys inside 3-C’s classroom staring at Akanishi. There’s still no teacher and Akanishi was busy reading his book.
“Dude, believe me, sooner or later Minami will ended up with Akanishi’s arm.” Ryo Nishikido remarked.
“No way. He has Kamenashi chan already didn’t he?” Masaki Aiba stated.
“Akanishi and Kamenashi? I’m not sure what their relationship is but I doubt there something intimate going on between them. I haven’t even seen them talk to each other. Did you?” Ryo explained turning his gaze to Yokoyama Yu.
“No.” Yokoyama answered. “But still, they arrived at school and went home together everyday. I don’t think there’s nothing special between them.” Yoko disagrees with Ryo.
“But what if they have the same pathway going home?” Kazunari Ninomiya noted.
“Yeah right. Then why do they have to wait for each other whenever it’s time to go home?” Aiba asked.
“Just a coincidence?...” Nino implied.
“Coincidence my ass. And besides, have you forgotten the scene where Akanishi drag Kamenashi chan with him before? And can someone tell me why we’re having this AkaKame conversation again?” Yoko asked, failed to remember why they were having such conversation from the first place.
“Ah, because Minami chan is hell crazy about that Akanishi Jin?” Ryo muttered sarcastically.
“What about it? How does it concern us?” Yoko raised a skeptical eyebrow.
“Dude, we’re not. You are.” Ryo said sneering.
“Me?” Yoko laughed back. “And why should I care?”
“Oh come on. Are we still living in denial here? You’re practically checking her out since our first year in high school.” Ryo muttered with a tone of teasing. Aiba and Nino grinned.
Yoko felt a sudden blush on his face. “Fine. But I still believe that Minami won’t end up with Akanishi. Obviously, Akanishi doesn’t like her for that matter and I’m sure you all aware of that.” He tries to sound unaffected and in his natural tone.
“Ok then, let’s just say there will never be Akanishi-Minami-pair, that doesn’t mean any good to you either. Are you willing to finish your high school life without telling her how you feel and just watch her from distance?” Ryo told Yoko but this time he obviously dropped the teasing tone and it more sounded like one concerned friend.
The other two were listening, nodding their heads as agreeing from what Ryo said.
“That’s sucks...” Nino commented.
“Yeah, I think so too. And this is your last chance too.” Aiba remarked. “And come to think of it, Minami is kawaii, ne? What if Akanishi realized that and take advantage over the fact that Minami chan is in love with him and...You know...willing to...” He was cut off by the sudden opening of the door.
Hyde sensei walk in and everyone rushed to return to their own seat.
The class started, as usual Akanishi fangirls haven’t ended their own fanatic stuff while the teacher in front busy writing on the board.
“...you know...willing to...” The line keeps on flashing through Yoko’s head. ‘Uso... There’s no fucking way!...’ he thought, “And come to think of it, Minami is kawaii, ne?” the second voice within his mind disagreeing with his judgment. He shook his head to erase the thoughts if possible.
He turns his head behind him over his right shoulder to have a glance with the man who’s his attention was on the board, pouting his lips with his finger playing with his lower lip. He doesn’t know but it makes his blood boil for some reason. He continues to study the face of Akanishi. He certainly has good looks, no doubt about it.
He placed his gaze to Minami who he think scribbling something on top of her desk. When she’s done, she folded that piece of paper and then passed it to the next girl behind her, and passed it once again to the boy behind until that piece of paper reached its destination. None other than to Akanishi Jin.
He saw Akanishi read the said paper then afterwards he look at Minami and throws his sweetest smile.
That smile, gets into his nerve.
That made him feels mad. He tried to distract himself and placed his attention to the board.

Yoko comes running, making his way through the hall searching for someone. He peeks for every vacant room hoping to find the person he wanted to see.
He abruptly opens the door from one of the science laboratory and finally! There she is, Kamenashi Kazuya - well, he wasn’t really looking for her but for Akanishi - though he was expecting to see Akanishi eating his lunch together with Kamenashi chan. But where is he anyway? He looked around but there is no Akanishi in sight.
He walks closer to the girl, chopstick still in between her mouth while her gaze follows every movement of the boy who unexpectedly disturbed her meal.
“Kamenashi-chan, sorry for the sudden intrusion, but can you tell me where Akanishi is?” the boy asked politely.
“I don’t know.” Kame simply answered.
“Isn’t he supposedly eating with you here, right now?”
“Why would he be?” with one eyebrow went up.
“Because you both practically leave our classroom every lunch, and...” he suddenly remembered that he needs to confirm something which has been bothering him since this morning, “You two have...you know... I mean you two have been together right? I mean, you practically go with him after school everyday...”
That’d been unexpected.
Apparently Kame wasn’t intended to tell his classmate nor to anyone that Akanishi lives at their house - or should he? - Or maybe not...
“Why are you looking for him anyway?” he decided he should change the subject at least.
“I have something to ask him.”
“I’m sorry but he’s not here and I don’t really know where he went.” He said with an attempt to end the conversation.
“Sou ka... Thanks anyway.” He swiftly turns around and runs towards the door and left.
As Yokoyama exited the scene, Kame continues with his meal.
When he's done with his lunch, he's washing the bentou box before going back to their classroom. And while standing in front of the lab sink, he heard someone talking.
“Why do you want to know?” Kame heard Akanishi’s voice asks the question.
He moved closer to the window near him to see who’s Akanishi’s been talking to. He looked outside through the window, he looked around. From the left corner of the lab, not too far from the window where he stands, there is a stair used for fire exit and there he saw Akanishi with Yokoyama Yu.
“You just have to answer as simple as ‘yes’ or ‘no’.” Yoko kun said.
Kame wonders what the two might be talking about. He knew the two were not friends nor enemies as far as his knowledge serves him right, since Akanishi’s been with him - at home, spending the entire precious remaining time of the day after school. And at school, he wasn’t really that chatty with their classmate either, not to mention Yokoyama Yu. But he was uncertain for some specific time of the day - lunch time, because at time, they have always parted ways.
“Well, that’s none of your business.” Akanishi said and a smirk flashed on his face. “And why do you care so much, anyway? Are you his boyfriend?” he continues.
Yoko was startled.
Kame was startled too. They were talking about a girl... He realized. And for some reason he felt his heart stopped.
“No...” he heard Yoko kun answered faintly.
“Are you, in love with her?” Akanishi asked while he crossed his arms in the process.
Yoko didn’t answer; perhaps he doesn’t know how to answer from the unexpected question.
“You know what?, you should confess your feelings for her,” Akanishi reached his one hand to the boy’s shoulder in front, and patted him, “Before someone might grab the opportunity from you.” He said and then walk passed over the perplexed man.
Akanishi finally step down the stairs.
Kame was confused.
“Before someone might grab the opportunity from you.”
Does the taller boy meant that that someone might be him?... Does he have someone he likes?...
Kame blew his breath with exasperation. He must be crazy because he doesn’t even understand why he suddenly feeling down...

“I’ll be just inside my room if you'll ever need something.” Kame told the taller boy indolently before he went upstairs.
Some time later, Akanishi was in the middle of his cooking when the phone rung.
“Moshi Moshi!” he answered.
“Akanishi kun,”
He heard the familiar voice from the other line. “Chotto matte kudasai, I’ll just call Ka-”
He was stopped, “No, you don’t have to. I just wanted to say, please don’t wait for me for dinner, you two go ahead. I still have plenty of work here in the office; I’ll just eat dinner somewhere. Please inform Kazuya for me, onegai ne.”
“I will.”
“Okay thanks. That’s all. Bye.”
“Bye.” And then they hung up.
...
“There!” Akanishi stated after his final touch of his cuisine. “It’s time for dinner.” But Kame never stepped out from his room since the moment they’re back.
Akanishi decided to go upstairs toward Kame's room. He gives a knock on the latter's room. Then It got open.
“What is it?” The girl inside asked softly.
“Dinner’s ready.”
“Ah. Okay.” Kame's still not in the mood but he still follows the other guy to their dining room.
“Where’s Otousan?” Kame asked taking his seat in the process, not seeing his father.
“Ah, right, he just called. He said he won’t be having dinner with us tonight due to his unfinished work.”
“Sou...” Kame mumbled.
There’s an awkward silence between them.
“Ne Kazuya, you’re acting pretty strange today, you know?” The taller boy noted.
“What do you mean? What makes you think that?” the pretending girl asked, tried to sound as usual.
“Well, you seemed to be full of thoughts all along our way home and the moment we arrived here, you stepped inside your room, and buried your self in there. So what's troubling you?”
Kame seriously stared with the boy in front of him. Then he decided to speak out the thought disturbing his head. “I saw you talking with Yoko kun this afternoon, and I just happened to hear part of it...” he doesn’t know how to continue his sentence without sounding too nosy.
“And what did you hear?” the boy in front asked.
Kame regretted the fact that he opened up this topic himself - but he’s just curious, that’s all there is.
He braced himself, “I think I heard...” Wait! What exactly did I hear again? Thinking about the exact word to say but he couldn't remember hearing a precise message.“...about this certain someone... that you and Yoko-kun... like.” Kame said as what he understood about what he had heard.
Akanishi sneered remembering the conversation he had with Yokoyama. “Are you jealous?”
“EH?! No way!” Kame denied it instantly.
“Yeah right.” Akanishi smirked. “Anyway, that Yoko~kun likes Minami-chan, if you didn’t noticed.”
“So... you like Minami-chan?”
Akanishi wanted to laugh because, really, Kame obviously looks like pretty jealous, but he decided not to. “I didn’t say I like her. You probably heard it wrong.”
“But you never said you didn’t either.”
Kame realized he’s being too nosy and he shouldn’t be. It’s none of his business from the first place. “Forget it. Sorry for meddling too much.” He looked down to his food, attempting to continue his dinner.
“I don’t like her.” Kame heard the other boy said. He placed his stare up to meet the other boy’s stare. He kind of felt relieved for some reason.
Akanishi smiled, “Besides, I more like men.” His smile turned to wide grinned.
Kame’s heart stopped from beating.
