So I finally looked, and I found a rock climbing place that is reasonably close to me! I kind of prefer a route such as 644 -> 613, but the little details can be worked out.

For those who haven't been paying attention in prior posts, this was one of my major goals, seeing how I like to have a form or two of regular exercise.

The week in MD/VA was largely productive. I now have an apartment in Springfield, VA. A few nice things: very clean/quiet environment (well insulated for temperature and sound), incredibly convenient (an entire mall, metro station, and several shopping plazas in easy walking distance, and a variety of delivery restaurants), insanely good commute ( Read more... )

Went rock climbing yesterday, which was tons of fun again. I also got to learn how to belay people and rappel myself. Very good early skills for climbing. I also managed to make it up a climb that the other two noobs couldn't ( Read more... )
