Thank you for the dozen people who came last-minute to my saké party. It may be the last saké "party" I do - from now on, if I find one I like, I can just bring it to share as part of another party or something. Talking to my surgeon this morning, I received confirmation that it is indeed my clavicle plate pushing outwards on the skin and easily felt. Why? Because I would have been perfect for a medium-sized plate - but they only make them in two sizes. So pretty much last-minute, along with a nice Porter sale, I made my way, a few days before my accident, to Kampai Toronto, a celebration of saké partly organised by the Toronto distiller Izumi. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, but boy am I glad I went!
