Earth Day / Earth Hour 2009-2010 Goals
Last year for Earth Hour, I set 5 goals for myself to attempt to live more environmentally responsible. To read the details as to why I considered these more environmentally responsible see the original post. They were:
1) Learn to cook at least 3 Indian dishes.

Starting the Move Process
At the beginning of this week I officially gave notice that I will not be renewing my lease for my apartment next year. While I loved the location and was quite settled there, this summer I will be moving out to live on a farm. Reduce - exercise catalogs
Somewhere in the last couple years I have gotten on catalog mailing lists for exercise clothing. I don't know which company sold my name and address, but I am not interested. I don't buy clothing from catalogs because fit is extremely important for me.

Richmond Marathon - Success!
Yesterday I ran the Richmond Marathon and finished in 5:39:23! Between the training and the race it has been one of the most difficult experiences in my life, but completing is a success for me and I'm very happy about it. Data Hoarding
At work we are soon going to be upgrading systems and thus need to transfer all of our files over. In looking through what I currently have to see if I could weed some stuff out that I no longer need, I found in general I am extremely resistant to the idea. Dance is Fun! I took numerous dance classes in our lovely dance tent. A grand majority of them were Italian dances since I think they are more fun than ECD. Pennsic Opening Ceremonies
Every year for at least the last decade Isenfiri have been the last Atlantians in opening ceremonies. This is because Shires come after Baronies and we are the only shire to show up. Last year it was just deboraaurifex and myself (as captured so nicely in pinkleader 's photo). First Tomato
I had my doubts as to whether my cherry tomato plant in a pot, sitting on my mostly shaded front porch would produce anything at all. As of this morning, the first of its tomatoes is turning red. There are another 12-15 green ones still in the process of growing but I now have hope for them to turn into something edible ( Read more... )
