lousy verizon DSL customer service
So I called the main 800 number for verizon service, swam through the prompts until I got to the one regarding DSL (which forwarded me to another 800 number), then waded through the prompts to "sales", at which point I had to confirm again the number I was calling from as being the number where I wanted service, and blah blah blah... then got a ( Read more... ) -

Even with all this moving stuff that has been the focus of the last 2 weekends and part of today (the other part of today was pre-scheduled appointments that I can only do on weekends thanks to my work schedule), I'd been planning and promising that come hell or high water, I'd be at faire site on 22 April. Most of the boxes (not including any containing books) have been unpacked, the phone was set up on Monday, I got the caller-ID issue handled today (I'd ordered it, but somehow there was an oddity with my install order that though it was completed on Monday it was in their system as incomplete...); I set up my computer and DSL yesterday, got the TV ( Read more... ) -
I miss my cats
This is the first time I've spent a night at home without them since I've had them. I keep thinking I see one of them out of the corner of my eye. And I feel like I'm a bad "mother" for leaving them alone for the night in the new apartment on their first time seeing it. a few quick updates and questions
1. Graham has been sneezing for a week, so I took him into the vet today. Upper respiratory infection. Given a shot of an antihistamine and an antibiotic. Given prescription meds: Chlorpheniramine (I think this is an antihistamine), and Amoxi Tabs (amoxicillan). I've got to give him one Amoxi Tab and half a Chlorophen twice per day.
