I've got a job interview tomorrow. It's for my own job. They've decied there aren't enough contract extensions to go around, so I've got to go and justify my existence.

There's a family a little further up the carriage of this train who seem to be discussing what to call a pair of kittens. I really want to suggest Kara and Oke, but I suspect they wouldn't get the reference.

I just remembered that tickets for Indian Summer Glasgow are now on sale. I'm quite tempted to go, if only for an excuse for a trip back to Glasgow - but £60 when they've only announced two acts? Seems quite steep.

I caught the end of Desert Island Discs today while I was in the shower (the radio in the bathroom being the only one in the house that's regularly tuned to Radio 4, but that's probably extraneous information). I was thinking about going to the cinema today to see Brick, before I go to work at 4.
There's a Vue cinema at Shepherd's Bush, and they've got a showing that, handily, finishes at 3.45pm. Ideal. And it'll be a matinee showing, so it'll be cheap, right?

Wrong. £s;6.30 for showings before 5.30pm. wtf?
