I agree that most Christians are hypocritical. In fact in a book i have read within the past year it talks about how a few college guys put together a confessional booth, they set it up in the middle of this extremely secular campus where hardly anyone believed in God. some people came to the booth to confess their sins but what ended up happening was the few guys who set it up confessed the sins of christians who had been hypocritical such as the crusaders in history who went around killing people. The college guys told the others in the booth that they were sorry. You said that the Bible has nothing to back it up, but if you take a deeper look into history you will find out that it does back up the Bible. actual science also backs it up i'm not talking about the theories that man made but actual science. Take your body for instance, your body is so complex and has so much detail. How can you say that there is no God; or that no one created you, your body, your organs, your tissue, your cells? How? That is all I ask. Your DNA which is so ( ... )

I know very well what Christianity is. I know the story of Jesus. I know all of that. But that's all it is to me: a story. DNA is dirybonucleic acids which make up the genetic structure of our bodies...not proof of God. For all of the "proof" that he does exist, there is so much more that proves he doesn't. I'm not going to argue this anymore, because you won't change my opinion and I won't change yours. Christianity has no place in my life, and it never will.

"The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today is Christians who acknowledge Jesus with their lips then walk out the door and deny him by their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable." - dc Talk

dude, you totally need to read up on my views before we room together. you and i are gonna have some kick-ass convos and actually NOT piss each other off! it's gonna rock. so yeah, check out...let's see what elements are involved...gnosticism, taoism, hinduism, chaoism, ESPECIALLY chaoism. chaoism, my god, that's crazy-ass shit that i think even you could believe in simply by it's motto: "nothing is real, everything is permitted." i've got books on it written by one of the founders of the IOT. i'll let you borrow them. be careful with it, though. i've known people who have gone psychotic from it.

Wow...you people never cease to amaze me. The fact that someone living in the south is atheist blows everyone's mind away. There are two basic types of people: those who are very closed minded (the people that i tend not to like) and those who are open minded (those who i do like). Atheism in a way is its own religion. You believe in yourself, your being, your feelings, thoughts, etc. One does not need a god to be successful in life. I also agree that many people who call themselves christians are in fact extremely hypocritical. I see it happen everyday. (Don't get me wrong, there are those who are devout and etc, which is fine) Answer me this....is it right to believe in god? is it wrong?....To this there is no right or wrong answer, only a "faith"..whether or not you chose to believe that god does in fact exist and to follow by his rule. People seem to think that if you dont believe in god, you are wrong. why is that? Who are you to judge my faith or lack there of? Aren't good christians not supposed to judge others anyways? hmmm..
