Hot pink (short) anglaise
This summer I had in my mind to recreate a pink gown after seeing 'Marie Antoinette' again. But as it turned out the completely pink gown didn't look good on me. So I decided to change it into a pink and black gown. For the jacket I used the J.P. Ryan pattern for a robe a l'anglaise. I shortened the skirt-part and cut it in a pointed shape. 18th century make-up
Some time ago I made a post about 18th century make-up, using products that as much as possible mimicked what was used then. Now I have made a version using contemporary make-up instead, for those interested.

New version of the Antoine dress
This is a new version of the Antoine dress!
The bodice and skirt is made out of lucious Blue silk and has been gatherd with off white satin bows.
The stomacher and pettiecoats is made out of blue/antique gold damast.
Double sleeves made out of blue silk with off white lace and an offwhite lace undersleeve also adorned with off white lace trimming.
