36 weeks and the fun never ends!

Well that was fun.

My BP was high according to them (I'm sure my rushing to get there on time didn't help) So they did a blood draw for Pre-eclampsia. I have zero other symptoms of it.

oh the drama of it all! )

Well, if you actually stop worrying about everything, take all in stride, hang out with your friends once in a while, and not ignoring them on NYE, you probably will not have high BP and enjoying the last few weeks of your pregnancy. You have friends here. Use them. Abuse them.

Sheesh.

Uh, right. Ok Dr. Luci. If that's what you think.

Seriously, if it was that easy, I'd be doing it. I think it was a bit of a fluke, because later during the NST my bp was a lot lower.

You should always listen to Dr. Luci.

Yes, then do the opposite. ;^)

BTW, I put four of the dragons on a clock using cafepress and ordered it (luckily before they started having denial of service attacks this week) and it is going to be so awesome for the nursery!

I love the dragons. Dr. Luci may suck, but Artist Luci rawks tha house.

Between rushing to get there and the problem with the scale, there's no wonder your bp went a little wonky. During the last month or so my bp was very sensitive to different stressors, but if they gave me a minute to rest or take a few deep breaths before taking it, it was usually ok.

Enjoy the holidays and try to get as much sleep as you can. Seriously.

That's the plan. I have a couple days off next week for Xmas so I plan to get some nice sleep in. I've got my assistant mostly trained to take over some of my stuff but I still have a few things she needs to learn.

And some paperwork to file. Feh.

I have no doubt that the tests next week will show what the blood tests showed today, no Pre E. Luckily the Dr. pretty much agrees, but wants to be 100%. Can't argue with that.

Glad to hear that some things are going right. *hugs*

Relax and keep you BP low! Be like me! Laid Back. ;)

I need to borrow your low blood pressure, please. ;^)

I'm figuring it was just an off day for me. I bet next week all is right as rain. I do wish they'd stop drawing blood all the damn time though. They keep doing it in the crook of my arm where it hurts the most. Yar.

Well, one thing's for sure. My needlephobia has gone down significantly. I certainly don't want them to tell me to stop working. I love work. Plus I just sit in a damn chair all day, it isn't like it's stressful. Well, unless you count the crazy people calling me. Lots of those this week. Merry Christmas Panthy, have another looney!

Wow. Thirty-six weeks! Wow! Congrats! time goes quickly (on this end).

Don't worry about the measuring matching the week thing. It is an inexact thing which can be made "wrong" by the position of the baby. My first hid back at my spine and kept herself sideways. She measured less than "normal" and every week I had to go in for fetal monitoring, only to be told later how inexact it was and why the little devil measured small. Lovely. Four weeks of panic for no reason.

But 36 weeks already? Just Wow.

Yep. Almost there. I'm not to worried but more amused that they'd measure me and a week would jump that much.

They asked me if I felt as if I'd grown a lot in the last week. Uh, hell yes. I'd come home from work and tell Mr. Panthy "Uh, I grew today". He'd look and say "Holy crap, yeah you did".

Usually Spawn's growth spurts are on weekends and it spends the whole time stretching me out manually. Ow! It's apparently having a disco party right now. Hee!

It's pretty much as accurate as a coin toss. Both ultrasound and measurements can be off by as much as a pound or more. My daughter was predicted to be 2.7 pounds by ultrasound (she was early) and she ended up being 4 pounds. My SIL's huuuge baby (she's diabetic) ended up being 6 lbs.

Argh, LJ sucks. I posted to you and it apparently didn't take. Yeah, I'm not too worried as I've heard all sorts of stuff about predictions being off. The way Spawn keeps moving around these days and propping itself on my spine, it might have just been mooning the nurse. It likes to do that.

Gah! My blood pressure has been known to be high when I'm stressed out. Sometimes I just told them to take it again at the end of the appointment and see where it went.

You really don't look like you've had much swelling at all. That was one of the things I noticed in your last round of pictures, but I didn't think it was polite to say, "Gee, your face isn't nearly as huge as I thought it would be" heh.

Ha! Funny thing is, lots of people have said similar things to me. Just yesterday my office manager said "Your nose isn't even getting bigger". Nope. I look just like me but with a bump.

Well, my ankles look a little pudgy at the end of a day sitting at the computer, but that's hardly surprising.

I'm pretty sure everything will be fine. I can appreciate that the doc is double-checking to make sure anyway. That's what I'm paying her for. Since the bloodwork came back fine, my guess is next week's tests will too. First sign of hand/face swelling I'm supposed to call in. Hasn't happened yet, and yesterday was a particularly annoying day at work. If my bp was up, it would have been yesterday. Heh.
