So, okay, we aren't that much different from the rest of the country. As far as weather goes, that is. We had onehellofa rainstorm a week ago Thursday night and it has been raining on and off since. Getting ready for Christmas Flower Show
Hi all. I have been busy getting things ready for the upcoming Christmas Mini Flower show with our horticultural society. I am entering 6 (at least hopefully) different classes out of seven. We were only going to have leftovers for supper but I decided to add a couple more things to the menu. So I made oven barbequed pork back ribs and oven broiled potatoes. Yesterday morning I had to go to town very early as I had a mamogram scheduled for 8am. Normally Doug would be working, hence the early appointment. Well, wouldn't you know it, he had to have repairs done to his log trailer, so no work today. Last week my hubbie bought me a new (refurbished) KitchenAid Pro Mixer. I love it, love it, love it. I have used it almost every day since it came home. And today I made a cover for it.

All work and no play makes me a dull girl!
Well, once again I have my work cut out for me. I still have to get into the garden and pick all those beans. I don't know how many I will end up with, but a quick guess would say over a bushel of each, grean and wax. I plan to can more and make dill beans, and I think I will visit the seniors' home in Kakabeka and give some away.

This morning I got up early and went outside with the camera to get some pictures. What follows are pictures from various sites in my gardens. Once I get them in better shape, I will take pictures of the grounds and the flower beds.

Well, here it is the end of another day. I slept in this morning, contrary to the plans I made last night. Cold and Fishy Weather!
Well, today was the first day of Walleye(pickerel) fishing season. Lloyd and Harriet came down from Nipigon on Friday, and we planned to go out fishing early Saturday morning.
