It's surprising what massage has done for my life...I'm not sweating the small stuff nearly as much and it has relaxed me enough to give me time to decide what qualifies as "small stuff"

Rec'd a late night call that they took the Mothership to Hays, KS via ambulance (2 hour trip) last night with an appt to see the Pulmonologist this morning.  The nearest specialist is 2 hours away from our podunk hometown, but that is luckily two hours closer to KC, so now we're 4 hours from her should we get "the call."

Chicken Pesto Pasta
Salad w/ Green Apples and Tomatoes- w/ Tomato Bacon dressing (It's one of my fav's - tangy and sweet)
Riesling
Hummus/Crackers/Grapes
Turtle Pie for Dessert- if I can fit it in- it's in the freezer now prepping for a warm eve

Thurs night was made of awsome- "Princess and the Pea", his partner, oddheart and I went to the Improv at the Majestic in Zona Rosa.  The opening comedian was "eh" the second act was only a bit better, but the headliner blew our socks off.  He was on comedy central, but I can't remember his name.  I would equate the first part of his set to being tickeled ( Read more... )

I was vacuuming, preparing for Pippa's arrival (although she called and said she'd be late- no biggie- it's vacation- there is no timeline).   I heard my cell phone v/m alert go off- didn't recognize the # at all.  Listened to the v/m, heard my Mom's shakey voice and knew- sure enough- she was in the hospital with pneumonia.  DAMNIT!  I know this ( Read more... )
