It's been a very busy last four weeks, and frankly it wasn't even until today that I realised I've been around my workplace for about four weeks. Today I went to my new workplace's HR department and let them take copies of my passport/visa, degree paperwork, and National Insurance info. This afternoon I discovered that I did not get the Admissions & Recruitment Counsellor position. After taking more than the 24 hours they said it would take, and after the entire questioning of me as to whether I would stay in the job considering my level of experience, I admittedly was not surprised.
