"The South Dakota law is in the forefront of an effort by abortion opponents to test whether a more conservative Supreme Court will reconsider, and possibly reverse, the Roe decision."
It can't go into effect until it's totally approved, which it most likely won't be until Roe vs. Wade is over-turned.
to play devil's advocate here (ha! i reversed the tables on you "Christian" conservatives), roe v. wade was decided on...rather shaky precedent. but nonetheless, it was still decided on precedent and roe should still be treated as settled law. and republicans should get over it.
I know it's been going on forever, and it's been pissing me off forever. It keeps inching closer and closer to working though, and that's the scary part. I've been hoping for so long that people would realize it's retarded and just let it stay all talk.
